Reminder for Part A Providers Calling For Appeals Information

The Part A Provider Contact Center (PCC) has seen an increase in the number of calls that are selecting Option 4 (overpayment recovery) when asking for appeals denials/decision information.  As a reminder, providers should select Option 1 (claim) to obtain information about appeals.  Review the following for assistance with selecting the correct option.

When calling the Part A PCC at 1.866.590.6703 select the appropriate option below.

    • Option 1 to reach a Customer Service Representatives (CSR) for assistance with billing, claims, eligibility, appeals, and payment.
    • Option 2 to reach an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) CSR for assistance with EDI enrollment, connectivity, PC-Ace Pro32, trading partners, and myCGS.
    • Option 3 to reach the Provider Enrollment (PE) department that can assist with inquiries about enrollment applications, enrollment revalidation, or electronic funds transfer enrollment.
    • Option 4 to reach the Overpayment Recovery (OPR) department for assistance with overpayment issues or questions about Credit Balance withholding.
    • Option 9 to reach a CSR for general questions.
