Preparing for ICD-10 CM/PCS: Ask-the-Contractor Teleconference
June 3, 2015
The Codes Are Changing; Are You Ready?
The ICD-10 CM/PCS compliance date is October 1, 2015. CMS has created suggested ICD-10 CM/PCS implementation activity timelines for all impacted entities, including vendors, payers, large providers, and small providers. CGS has made these products available directly from the main pages of each of our J15 contract pages. Visit http://www.cgsmedicare.com, and click on your contract tab, then look in the right sidebar of that homepage to view these resources.
Updates to Local and National Coverage Determinations
CGS has completed the process of converting the diagnosis codes listed in our Local Coverage Determinations (LCDS) from ICD-9 CM to ICD-10 CM/PCS. All LCDs, with ICD-10 CM/PCS translation are available on the CMS website. They will not be effective until October 1, 2015.
Likewise, National Coverage Determinations (NCDs) have been translated from ICD-9 CM to ICD-10 CM/PCS.
