Update: Part B "Dark Day" on May 8
Beginning on Friday, May 5th, the Peraton Virtual Data Center (VDC) mainframe will transfer to a different operational location. To ensure the transfer completes successfully, a Dark Day will occur on Monday, May 8th.
What this means to you:
- On Monday, May 8th, many systems will not be available. As a result:
- The Part B Provider Contact Center (PCC) will be closed.
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and myCGS portal features will be limited.
- You may continue to submit electronic claims on May 5-8, but they will not continue to process until the Multi-carrier System (MCS) nightly cycle runs on Tuesday, May 9th. We do not expect any delays to your payments.
- You will receive 999 and 277CA reports as usual; however, you will not be able to check claim status in MCS until Thursday, May 11th. Note: The 277CA reports will include the Internal Control Numbers (ICNs) for accepted claims and the appropriate Julian date.
- You will continue to receive a remittance advice (835) except on Tuesday, May 9th.
- PPTN users: The first time you access PPTN on or after May 9th, you must sign in with your RACF ID and a temporary password. CGS will email the temporary password to each user.
