Medicare Signature Requirements Ask the Contractor Teleconference

Medicare requires that services provided or ordered be authenticated by the author with a valid signature. Medical records are full of signatures; however, not every signature says enough about the author, and invalid signatures cause overpayments to occur.

Want to find out if your signature says enough about you and avoid signature related overpayments?  Register now to join us for our Ask the Contractor Teleconference (ACT) on April 14, 2015 at 10:00 am ET.  Our team of experts will review CMS signature guidelines, share examples and discuss what makes a medical record signature valid.

We are accepting pre-submitted questions on the topic of signatures until April 7, 2015.  Questions may be submitted to J15_PartB_education@cgsadmin.com.

All registered participants will receive an email containing the teleconference information, including the handout, prior to the call.
