Purpose and Goals
The primary function of the Advisory Group is to assist the contractor in the creation, implementation, and review of provider education strategies and efforts. The Advisory Group provides input and feedback on training topics, provider education materials, and dates and locations of provider education workshops and events. The group also identifies salient provider education issues and recommends effective means of information dissemination to all appropriate providers and their staff, including the use of the Provider Contact Center (PCC) to disseminate information to providers.
Response to feedback related to inquiries submitted to the PCC rather than to POE via email or Advisory Group: Please continue to contact the PCC initially. If you do not receive a resolution, you may then contact POE for assistance. Please include a PCC reference number with your POE request to assist us in providing education both internally and to the provider community.
Current Tasks
The meeting began with CGS welcoming attendees and reviewing member responsibilities along with MAC responsibilities for both sides to understand the purpose and functionality of the group.
Education Feedback
- • CGS solicited member feedback on educational offerings delivered since July 2026. Members reported that the education continues to demonstrate strong structure and effective delivery. Courses referenced included E/M Level II, What’s New with myCGS, and DDE webinars.

Current Topics
WISeR Model

POE AG members reported that when contacting the model participant Innovaccer, they are redirected to CGS for questions that fall under Innovaccer’s responsibility. CGS will escalate this concern through the appropriate channels to help reduce provider burden and ensure inquiries are directed at the correct resource.
DDE/PPTN Recertification
- CGS shared information concerning the upcoming recertification for DDE/PPTN. The deadline for Recertification has been extended until October 31st, 2026. Failure to recertify will lead to user ID deactivation.
Video Education
- CGS outlined plans to expand video-based education through YouTube in calendar year 2027 and requested topic suggestions from the group. Suggestions included:
- Medicare Basics
- PECOS
- Lines of Business (Who gets What)
- OPD Authorizations
