2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits Available
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) and CGS - J15 CMS Medicare Administrative Contractor. The OSMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The OSMA designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Those involved in the planning and teaching of this activity are required to disclose any relevant financial interest or other relationship. 2.5 OPMA PRA Category 1 Credits Available
The Continuing Medical Education Committee of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association reviewed and approved the programs hour for Louisville, KY, Columbus, OH and Independence, OH event locations: July 23, 24 and 25 respectively. The program was approved for 2.5 hours of continuing medical education credits toward podiatric licensure in the State of Ohio for all three programs.
Details about the events:
- Refreshments (hors d'oeuvres, coffee, water, and soft drinks) will be provided.
- We encourage you to bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure you are comfortable, as temperatures in meeting rooms may vary.
- Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. ET for each event. We will begin the presentations promptly at 5:30 p.m. ET.
- Advance registration is required. Please do not attend unless you have registered and received confirmation from CGS.
- Seating is limited. As a courtesy to others who may be on our wait list, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible, but no later than the day prior to the event, if you wish to cancel your registration.
- We will ask you to take a pre- and post-test to help CGS assess the effectiveness and value of these events.
- CEUs will be made available to other professionals who attend the sessions. A variety of organizations approves and honors MAC- and CMS-sponsored events (e.g., AAPC, the Professional Healthcare Institute of America (PHIA), etc.).

- Medicare as a "defined benefit"
- Requirements for payment, challenges, and consequences
- Documentation requirements and specificity of orders
- Elective admissions, one-day stays, and ambulatory-sensitive diagnoses
- Definition of "homebound status" and certification requirements for home health care under Medicare
- Clinical review judgment and the key role of physicians
- Current and future areas of focus for CGS and how to prepare for upcoming review activities
- Time for open discussion
